Summer 2016 – Music in the Park Series Continues to be Success

Starting in July, Hamilton County residents have been able to enjoy some very talented performers in the new park located on the Northwest side of the Square. To start off the series, local talent Meghan Barrow, drew quite a following on July 1st. The second event, held July 8th, we had performers Taylor Kearney and Caleb Kearney from Benton perform, along with providing free face painting for the kids. Coming up on July 15th, we have local talent Sean Burke performing with a friend, a clown and balloon twisting for the kids. Please join us as we will try to continue our music series throughout the Summer.

Chamber Annual Dinner Huge Success!

The Annual Chamber of Commerce Dinner took place at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Piopolis on Saturday February 20th, 2016. The ladies of the Church prepared an excellent fried chicken meal. Welcoming our guests and introducing our invocation was Lynn Smith. The meal prayer was given by Board Member, Alan Monroe. After the meal, there were presentations by Randy Kirsch, Sam Wilson and Mindi Kolts, all representatives of the Chamber Board. Randy reflected back on the years past and the service the Chamber has provided to our community. Sam then presented information on all the initiatives and goals the Chamber Board has set for 2016 and 2017.  Mindi spoke to the group about how important their involvement and participation in the Chamber will be this year. Randy Kirsch then presented the Ted Satterfield Person of the Year Award to the Bert Teffertiller Family. Paula Hatfield awarded door prizes throughout the evening.
