The ladies of the Church prepared an excellent fried chicken meal. After the meal, there were presentations by Jeff Fetcho and Justin Hood. Justin Hood gave an update on the progress of 911 implementation in Hamilton County. After State’s Attorney Hood was done speaking, Jeff Fetcho gave a presentation about the proposed 1% Sales Tax which will be on the ballot during the upcoming election. The Chamber then gave out the Civic Group of the Year award. The award was given to the Hungry Hearts Program. Hungry Hearts provides lunches for many students throughout the summer. The head of the Hungry Hearts Organization is Marilyn Lewis. Marilyn was unaware she would also be the recipient of the Ted Satterfield Person of the Year Award. Mrs. Lewis is more than deserving of both awards and she is definitely an asset to our community. There were close to 100 in attendance at the event.
